Hey Crafty Friends-
Well between a sick hubby, two sick kiddos, and Thanksgiving I haven't been able to share my favorite time of year with you. My tree is up! I love it so much!
I bought this tree last year at Lowes and it's my favorite tree I have ever owned. It's a slim tree with multi-colored lights which is very hard to find. And it's 7 feet tall. I have a tendency to go for a homespun feeling with my Christmas tree so I love using my felt ornaments and snowflakes. Cute huh?
For my topper I used one I bought at least 10 years ago. You just don't find toppers like this anymore. It might not exactly match the theme of the rest of my tree but it reminds me of how my grandma used to decorate her house at Christmas time so I put it up for all to see. Isn't that what the holidays are all about?
I have some new things coming to the blog soon. I am attempting to do a December Daily book for the first time. I will share that with you as soon as I get the first week of the month done. I am planning out my cookie exchange for Christmas day. The cookies have to be great but the presentation has to wow them. Christmas cards are in the works and I am also applying for a few more design teams this month. So wish me luck!
Thanks for hopping by today Christmas Crafty Friends. I hope you have a great Sunday!

Denami Design- A Touch of Twine Blog Hop
Hey crafty friends-
I'm back again with another Denami Design Blog Hop. This month's theme is A Touch of Twine. I use twine in almost everything I do so this hop is a perfect fit for me. Today I created a Christmas tag using the Cuddly Cats stamp set. I think kitties go with everything, so why not incorporate them into my tag!
I stamped the cat in green on a scalloped circle punched from craft cardstock and inked the edges in red and added stickles for a little jazz. The design is pretty straight forward layering so I won't go into to much detail. I glued green twine on top of my red bow and tied a jingle bell in the middle. So quick, so easy, so fun.
Now for the good part.....Prizes: Denami Design is giving away THREE $20 gift certificates to their website! They'll be giving away one gift certificate to a random participant (DT members not eligible) and then they'll also be giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop! You have until November 11, 2013, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize). Below is the next blog on the hop but if you get lost or want to start from the beginning go to the Denami Design Blog for the full list and details.

Kiwi Lane Designs Blog Hop!
Hey Crafty Friends!
Today I am so excited to be a part of the Kiwi Lane Designs Blog Hop. I have a really cute, simple, out of the box project for you, I hope you like it!
I know the Kiwi Lane designer templates are typically used to for scrapbooking and card making. But why not think outside the box and use the templates for other things, like embellishing a jar filled with candy to give as a holiday gift!
Here are the supplies I used to create my gift jar.
Once I got my hands on the Abbie Road template set all I could think of was they looked like snowy little hills. To decorate my jar I used template 1A to trace and cut out my snowflake patterned paper.
This was my first time working with Kiwi Lane Designs products and I am hooked. I think you will love them too. If you already own a set of templates give this project a try. I think you will love making them and your friends and family will love receiving them.
NOW...... on to some blog hop business. Below is the blog hop list. Please hop a long and comment on all the blogs for a chance to WIN. One random winner will win a $25 gift certificate to the Kiwi Lane shop just for commenting. The winner will be announced on the Kiwi Lane Blog November 7th.

Guest Designer Project for Samantha Walker
Hey Crafty Friends-
I am THRILLED to be guest designer this month for Samantha Walker. Let me introduce myself to all the new friends that may be visiting the blog today. My name is Kerri Smith. My little blog is Craft Time and Cupcakes. I am wife to my retired Air Force husband and mommy to two beautiful princesses, ages 4 and 5. I am a Southern California girl living the Vegas life and I love it! I have always been a creative person. I love every type of craft imaginable. I am a scrapbooker, baker, party planner, and I'm beginning to work more with fabric too. I would say my crafting style is a little bit country, a little bit cutesy, and a lot of fun. I believe projects should be quick, simple, and stunning. I was so happy working on my project for today.......so let's get to it!
I'm sure that many of you with a Silhouette love to shop Samantha's cutting files as much as I do. For today's project I decided to do something that sticks with the theme of my blog.......A cupcake box!
I used the Cupcake Scalloped Box cutting file. I cut the pieces from craft cardstock and a blue and red floral cardstock.
I folded all of the perforated lines then glued the tab of the craft cardstock piece to the floral cardstock to merge the top and bottom of the box together. I then glued all the remaining tabs to complete the box.
Once it was all together I jazzed things up a bit by inking up the edges using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Festive Berries.
I then placed the circle insert inside the box and added my yummy cupcake.
The final touch to my project was a red gingham ribbon tied around the box to hold it all together.
I couldn't be happier with how this project turned out. The file was so easy to cut and put together. I can see making these boxes for every holiday, teachers gifts, birthday parties. They will put a smile on any one's face when they receive this special little gift.
I want to say a special thank you to Samantha Walker Designs for letting me guest design this month. For more inspiration please follow my blog at http://www.crafttimeandcupcakes.com/. You can also follow me on Pinterest and Facebook.

Denami Design - Krazy for Kraft Blog Hop
Hey Crafty Friends-
Are you as Krazy for Kraft as I am? I love it. Kraft cardstock is my go to product. I stamp on it all the time so I was very excited to be a part of this fun hop. Look what I made!
I am a fall fanatic so I couldn't resist using the Wheat Stalks stamp in great fall colors. Here are all the crafty details:
1. I started with a kraft base measuring 10" x 4" and folded it in half. The edges are inked in brown ink.
2. The orange patterned paper is cut at 4.5" x 3.5". The edges are inked in brown and it was glued to the base.
3. I stamped 3 of the wheat stalks one each in green, orange, and brown on kraft cardstock. I used a postage stamp punch to punch all of them out then inked the edges in brown. They were adhered to the card using foam tape to pop them up.
4. I cut a strip of kraft cardstock measuring 4" x .5" and stamped my sentiment. The ends were "V" cut and the edges inked in brown.
5. Last but not least is a raffia bow to finish the card.
I think it turned out so pretty. I hope you like it too. Now on to the hop!
Thank you so much for hopping by today. Follow me and check back soon for more crafty inspiration!

My Core'dinations Creative Frenzy!
Hey Crafty Friends-
Today I am sharing with you three projects I created to apply for the Core'dinations Cardstock Design Team. I am so excited for the opportunity since I use Core'dinations all the time. I find that is cuts very well with my Cricut, embossing comes out great when run through the Big Shot or Cuttlebug, it takes ink like no other, and sanding is so fun! It is my favorite cardstock to work with and I hope I can be a part of the team. Since my favorite crafts to do are party and holiday related, as well as cards and tags, that's what I stuck with for my submission. Let me show you what I created!
With Easter coming up I thought it would be fun to make a little treat bag for the kiddos.
I started glitter core for the bag then used green core for the grass and pink core for the sign. I inked the edge with Distress ink for a little jazz. The bunny is my favorite part. I used Chocolate Box core to cut the bunny with my Cricut. I sanded the edges a bit to let the lavender core show. I added a google eye and a checked bow to finish him off. So cute!
For my next project I combined two of my current obsessions, mason jars and purple.
This card turned out amazing! I started with Black Magic core for the base and adhered a layer of craft cardstock I had stamped and embossed with white hearts and inked the edges in red. I glued down a layer of white glitter cardstock then layered on the Love you a Latte square which was cut with the Cricut out of Black Magic core again. The black core was sanded to allow the red core to show through. I added a checked ribbon and a heart gem and it was done! Quick, easy, adorable!
I hope you enjoyed seeing what I made for the design team call. Thank you to Core'dinations for the chance to be a part of the team. Please come back soon for more inspiration!

I used green patterned paper to make the tag base and adhered a paper doily that was cut in half. I used purple core with a metal die to cut the jar, then embossed it with my Cuttlebug. It was then sanded and edges inked to distress it a bit. I embellished with twine, stickers, and a stamped sentiment to complete my giftable tag. Love the way this turned out.
For my final project I went with a card suitable for the coffee lovers in your life.

I started with a 4.5" square, clear card. In order to photograph the card it was set on top of a neutral cardstock. Below is another photo sitting on my workspace so you can see the difference with the white desk and craft mat behind it.
The first layer down is a 4" paper doily that I inked the edges with Tim Holtz Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, then weaved pink and white twine through the center holes and finished with a double bow. Next, I used the Denami Design Upright Happy Birthday stamp to stamp the sentiment in black on a strip of pink polk a dot paper measuring approximately 5.75" x 1.25". The edges were inked in brown and the tail cut in a "v". Two pink felt butterflies were then popped up on foam dots for a little dimension. Last but not least, a little bling. A clear gem was added to the bow and pink and clear stones of different sizes were added to the corners. This clear card really turned out cute. In person it really has a bit of a fantasy feel too it. Now on to the good stuff........PRIZES

Cheers!
Hey Crafty Friends-
I don't know about you but I am getting so excited for the month of March! St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays so I couldn't wait to start my "green" crafts. I know it's not quite March 1st yet but I'm ready so lets get it started!
I don't know about you but I am getting so excited for the month of March! St. Patrick's Day is one of my favorite holidays so I couldn't wait to start my "green" crafts. I know it's not quite March 1st yet but I'm ready so lets get it started!
The card base is white glitter cardstock cut to 4.5" x 9" and folded in half to make a 4.5" square card. The corners were rounded and the edges were inked with Tim Holtz Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink. The green layer was cut on my Cricut using the Paper Lace cartridge. I cut the Lace 2 layer on pg. 30 of the handbook at 3.75" and glued it to the white base. To create the mug I used the Love You Latte Cricut cartridge and cut the mug from kraft cardstock at 2.25". I inked the edges with brown chalk ink, stamped the clover in green, used diamond stickles on the top to simulate the beverage, and adhered a green Trendy Twine bow to the handle. The mug was popped up on foam dots for a little dimension. The Cheers banner is a 3.5"x .5" strip of white paper. The edges are inked in brown, the end is "v" cut to create the banner shape, and the word Cheers from My Creative Time, You're My Pot of Gold stamp set is stamped in green. The banner is glued down and embellished with an orange button, topped with a clear gem.
There you have it friends! My cute, simple St. Patrick's Day cards. I hope you love it as much as I do. Please come back again soon for more inspiration!
Have a great crafty day!

Brave Birthday Party Favors
Hey Crafty Friends=
Last weekend we celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday with a Disney Brave party. We had so much fun! There were 11 kids and 20 adults in attendance. It couldn't have been better! I pulled together a few special items for the goody bags but this was the one everyone was talking about. Candy arrows!
I found pixie stick style candy straws that are about a foot long. I cut the triangle points and glued them on sandwiching the straw between them.
The kids loved them and the moms wanted to know how I did it. So here you go! If you have a Brave little Princess Merida in your life she will love these if you give them a try.
Please come back again soon for more inspiration. Have a crafty day!

For the tail end I freehand cut the shape I liked, then glued them on also sandwiching the straw in between. I then cut several slits in the tail to give it a feathery look. To finish them up I hit the tail with a little distress ink to make the cuts stand out. Here is a closer look.
The kids loved them and the moms wanted to know how I did it. So here you go! If you have a Brave little Princess Merida in your life she will love these if you give them a try.
